Has Ezygreenpak appeared on Hong Kong public television? Yes. Our founder, Wendy Lam, took part in RTHK TV 31’s programme 《凝聚香港》 (Hong Kong United), episode 1056, broadcast on 6 July 2026. The conversation centred on a very ordinary question: why does a household end up with so many reusable bags, and what should happen to the ones that are never used?
The question behind the bag
Many homes keep a drawer or corner full of reusable bags. Most of them are kept with good intentions, yet a large share are never taken out and used. In the interview, Wendy described this everyday observation as the starting point of Ezygreenpak.
It is a useful reminder that waste does not only come from single-use items. It can also come from things we collect, forget and never fully use. A packaging choice is only as good as the way it is used and the way it is handled afterwards.
What the programme covered
According to RTHK’s programme page, the segment looked at a Hong Kong start-up that developed a water-soluble eco-bag. The guest spoke about the difficulties of research and development, and how the team worked through them in order to bring the technology to the community and make greener living easier.
The episode also included other community stories, so the Ezygreenpak segment is one part of a wider programme about everyday life in Hong Kong.
Reuse first, then handle with care
Ezygreenpak’s approach is to reuse a bag as many times as it is practical to do so. When a bag is worn out, the guidance is simple: cut it into pieces, place it in hot water of 90°C or above, stir and wait a few minutes, then pour it down the sink.
That order matters. Reuse comes first. Water-soluble handling is the step for the end of the bag’s life, not an invitation to use more bags.
