Ezygreenpak Takes Water-Soluble Packaging to the San Francisco Bay Area

Ezygreenpak founder Wendy Lam has taken the company’s water-soluble nonwoven bag to the San Francisco Bay Area 🌉 as part of a Hong Kong Science Park startup delegation. The trip was covered by KTSF Channel 26 📺, a Chinese-language television station in the Bay Area, in a report published on its YouTube channel on 8 October 2026.

🎬 KTSF Channel 26 report in Cantonese, 2 minutes 43 seconds, with Chinese subtitles.

🌉 The trip

According to the report, Wendy joined the delegation in the South Bay, where Hong Kong startups exchanged ideas and presented their work at the Plug and Play Tech Center. For Ezygreenpak, the visit is part of a wider effort to reach international markets 🌏, which the report describes as the company’s next step.

💡 Where the idea began

Speaking to KTSF, Wendy described where the work started: she had seen how many plastic bags were in use and how much pollution they caused. About five or six years ago, the team came across a new material and kept developing it, in the hope that it could gradually replace traditional plastic bags.

💧 What the report showed

The report includes a short demonstration with a bag, scissors and hot water. It shows the bag keeping its shape in everyday conditions, then dissolving in hot water at 90°C or above (the report quotes 195°F). Ezygreenpak’s guidance is to use a bag as many times as is practical and to dissolve it only when it can no longer be used ♻️. Bags made for the 2025 Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon also appear in the segment.

🌱 What comes next

Wendy said the team hopes to bring the technology to more everyday products and, as the report describes, to medical-related products, while continuing to explore overseas markets.

Thank you to KTSF Channel 26 for covering the trip 🙏
